At Acorn Guest House our aim is to offer all of our guests a welcoming and relaxing break whilst you are staying with us, to this end the Guest House was totally refurbished - inside and out - in Summer 2004 to enable us to offer the high standards of accommodation which we believe our guests should expect.

We have been inspected by the AA and awarded a 4 Diamonds rating. All of our bedrooms are fully equipped with Colour Televisions, Radio Alarm Clocks, Tea and Coffee making facilities with Toiletries/Towels in the Bathrooms. The Guest House is completely double glazed and centrally heated and all rooms are fully en-suite and spacious. We can also provide a Hairdryer, Iron and Ironing Board as well as Laundry facilities should you require them.

Our Dining Room which holds 32 people

Our hearty, traditional Breakfasts (a Vegetarian alternative is offered) are guaranteed to see you on your way whether you are off for a days sightseeing, walking or cycling the C2C - as a lot of our guests do

Evening meals are available for those of you who wish to eat in our dining room although, if possible, please book in advance but we will willingly provide you with an evening meal at short notice. We hold both a Table and Residential License should you wish to enjoy an alchoholic drink with your meal or just to sit and relax over a drink in the evening.

We will gladly offer our opinion as to which are the best Restaurants and Public Houses in town should you wish to sample the local hospitality and if you require a key to let yourself back in after a night out or if you are going to be late back then just ask us.
