Our Location
Once the capital of Cumbria, Penrith occupies a central position between the Lake District and the North Pennines. The town is very accessible being well serviced by the major road links of the M6, A6 and A66. Penrith also has its own mainline railway station which is on the West Coast mainline and has regular services throughout the country.

For those of you arriving by car we have put together some detailed directions for you below:

From the South

> leave the M6 at Junction 40
> take the third exit off the roundabout signposted Penrith and Industrial Estate (with the North Lakes Hotel on your right)
> take the second exit at the next roundabout and travel straight on, passing the Railway Station on your left hand side just prior to the next roundabout at which turn left and keep in the left hand lane.
> at the next roundabout, take the second exit and head downhill (with Safeway's on your right) to a pedestrian crossing where you bear left and (keeping in the left hand lane) head straight on for 400 yards where you will encounter a mini-roundabout
> at this mini-roundabout take a left turn and Acorn Guest House is immediately on your left hand side

From the North

> Exit the M6 at Junction 41 and take the second turning at the roundabout.
> Carry straight on for 500 yards to meet a roundabout, take the fourth exit (signposted Penrith)
> After a mile and a half you enter Penrith, keep driving straight on until you pass a garage on your right hand side and meet a mini-roundabout
> Take a left hand turn at the mini-roundabout followed almost immediately by another left hand turn and Acorn Guest House is in front of you.
